We can also advocate for you if you feel that your assessment is not reflective of your current situation.

Facilitation of expert independent Income/Assets means testing

One of the most daunting tasks involved with transition into Residential Aged Care is the mandatory Income/Asset assessment. This is done via Centerlink. There are a number of independent aged-care specific expert financial advisors we can recommend who can advise you of your options and present you with recommendations of the way forward.

Review and advice on Government support packages

There are a wide range of support packages that the government offers to ageing Australians. We can arrange a session for you with people who know the system and can ensure that you get the best and most up to date information about your entitlements.

Finding the right short-term residential aged care arrangements

Assistance with completing all relevant forms and documents and navigating the system for you

There is a plethora of forms and documents that need to be filled out along the journey. We take all the stress out of this by arranging and completing the forms for you. All you need to do is review and sign them. There is also a complex system to be navigated with many obstacles and hindrances along the way. We simplify the process and ensure that you are aware of your opportunities and options.

Arrangements for tours of facilities

Once we have a clear understanding of what you can afford, and what your needs and preferences are, we engage in an extensive research of facilities that best suit your needs. We will recommend the top three and make arrangements for you to visit the facility so that you can be comfortable and properly informed when it comes time to make your decision.

Negotiating your bond and service fees

Once you have chosen the facility of preference we can negotiate your bond and daily fees on your behalf to ensure that you are getting the best outcome. Ongoing support and advocacy throughout your stay

We can provide ongoing support and advocacy for you and your family for the duration of your stay at the facility. We can visit you weekly or monthly and provide your family with reports on your well-being so they can have peace of mind that you are being properly cared for. It is also important for you to know that you have someone who will come and visit and inquire as to how things are going, and if necessary advocate on your behalf to ensure that you are happy and comfortable in your new home.
